In this week’s Netflix selections, detective hunts down an assassin who can disappear from visual records and leaves no digital footprint in a future where everyone leaves a footprint and privacy is barely a memory. Sam, Lionel, and the others find themselves tested by romantic tensions, trolls, and the continually fraught racial politics of their university. Finally, a brother and sister, alone since their father went missing, encounter a group of young survivors of a rain-borne virus that wiped out most of the population of Scandinavia years prior.

  • Anon – Set in a dystopian future where people have given up any dream of privacy, a detective hunts an assassin that has erased themselves from all visual records and who has managed to start hacking human beings. When the detective meets a young hacker with skills similar to the assassin, he must determine whether he’s caught his target or if she’s being framed.

Coming Attractions

As always, this week on Netflix sees a new set of original shows hit the service and starts with the third season of Bill Nye Saves the World, in which Bill works to educate his audience about different scientific principles with the help of experts and celebrity guests. In the Netflix original film The Kissing Booth, Elle finds herself torn between friendship and romance after she falls for her best friend’s older brother. Finally, the first season of The Who Was? Show, young performers create comedic and educational sketches about the lives and accomplishments of some of history’s most important figures.
